Alicia Tabard

This is the 3rd "lankahamsterineule" that I managed to knit in March. (for some reason it always takes time to get photos taken...)

Pattern: Alicia Tabard by Louisa Harding (ravelry)
Yarn: Karaoke by South West Trading Company (a lovely soysilk-wool blend)
Needles: 4mm

Have had it on my Ravelry queue for ages now- and I'm pretty pleased with the outcome. Love that colour. .. which brings me to this:
Yarn from my stash. Oh yes. Very close shades of pumpkin and rust. (and I bought the MerLin and WoolCotton within one week in January! without realising at all that I'm hoarding for that warm colour...)

To finish this with some other colour: lovely easter decorations. Quick update on other stuff: Easter's gone, I had my birthday last week and I'm planning to gift myself some yarn... I'm still suffering from work stress and yearning for holiday , warmth and sun. Luckily the spring is finally here - we have less than 30cm snow left on our yard! So the summer is coming. Slowly... but it's all for better now.

Second FO in March - Panbe - dress ( really a tunic- in my humble opinion) I got all exited about knitting this one! It went so fast... and such a relaxed knit.

Pattern: Panbe Dress by Cecily Glowik Macdonald from Knitscene winter/spring 2010 (ravelry)
Yarn: Rowan All season cotton , in #212 exactly 384g
Needles: 5mm

Other than that - we've been sick one after another for weeks now - and it is starting to get to me. So looking forward to spring and summer and hoping that this flue season would end. (and just looked out of the window and thermometer shows -9Celsius. Bugger!) Send us some warm weather - please!

I'm participating in Finnish Lankahamsterit (Yarnhamsters) again - this year the month is March and the rules basically are that:1) you cannot buy any yarn during this month - and 2) you try to knit as much as possible from your own stash. (for me that should be easy - as my yarn stash is definitely over 50kg ...)

Somehow right after the olympics and the quite challenging knitting I felt almost uninterested towards hamsters this year. I had difficulties to choose what to knit. (that hardly ever happens to me) and decided to listen to my DH and finally knit that teacosy (actually for coffee pot) that he's prompted me to knit for several years ...
It came out rather nice.
Pattern: none (made it to fit our coffeepot)
Yarn: New Lanark Aran in natural black and some Novita Aino in red for the pompom
Needles: 5mm
Total yarn consumption 87g.
I also added some padding for extra insulation and a stripy cotton lining.

A good ice-breaker - as immediately after finishing this one I cast-on a Panbe-dress, which looks really promising...
