It's cold out there - Kylmää, aina vain...

Finally some time to blog, and do something else than Uni related stuff. Here's a pair of mittens for the youngest daughter. She wanted to have her own pair after seeing the mittens I made for the big sister.... (this s how it very often goes... I make something for one of the girls and then at least one other wants to have a similar thing as well.... )

Pattern: basic mitten (no pattern needed)
Yarn: My own handspun
Needles: 4,5mm
Embroidery: various yarn ends (Drops Alpaca, Posh yarn Lucia etc)

So beautiful! Why do my embroidered flowers never look so neat on a knitted surface!?!?

So nice, I must try that embroidery thingy one day :)

Sigrun: just go for it! I somehow imagined that it would be super hard, but it really is not. And with wool yarns you get results so fast that it is instant gratification!!

Berenike: Thanks. I found that at least I need to take some care to keep stitches quite loose (looser than I had imagined) that way the stitching keeps more even and is easier to work as well..
