Mossy Jacket

It's been a while - but look: I've actually managed to finish something! Mossy Jacket by f.pea has been on my Ravelry queue for almost a year now, and I finally decided to make it for my youngest daughter. What a delight to knit! (I finished it some days ago but taking photos of it was the hard part - especially when my model was more interested in Legos & camera than staying still so that I could get any decent photos...)

Jotain valmista sentään - Mossy Jacket, joka on ollut Ravelry-jonossani jo lähes vuoden, mutta pääsi nyt vasta puikoille. Aivan ihastuttava malli neuloa! Ja nopea. (Valokuvaussessio sen sijaan oli kaikkea muuta kuin helppo, nuorin tyttäreni kun olisi mieluummin tutkinut kameraa ja ainoa, millä liikkeen sai edes hetkellisesti loppumaan oli Legot... joita sitten näissä kuvissa piisaa..)Pattern: Mossy Jacket by Fawn Pea (ravelry)
Yarn: Novita Florica (self-dyed with onion skins!) used double (approx.300g) and Brown Garnstudio Drops Alpaca (also used double) for borders (approx 30g)
Needles: 4,5mm & 5mm

I made the size 18months. Only modification was the neckband - I only knitted right button band as instructed and then picked up all the rest (neck & left front) on one circular needle and knitted it on a one go. Makes the neckline a bit different than in the original, but I like it this way as I think it emphasizes the geometric lines of the jacket. Buttons are - once again - from my moms stash (and actually date way back as my mom got them from my grandma) Both unique but they fit this jacket nicely.

Neuloin koon 18kk, ja ainoa modaus oli nappilista/ pääntien reunus - neuloin oikean nappilistan kuten ohjeessa, mutta loput reunasta (siis pääntie& vasen etureuna) poimin yhdelle pyöröpuikolle ja neuloin yhtenäisenä pötkönä, jolloin pääntien linja on mielestäni parempi kuin jos olisin neulonut suoraan ohjeesta. Napit ovat taas kerran äitini nappivarastoista ( joka taas on näiden nappien osalta peruja omalta mummultani).
Size is perfect and jacket fits beautifully. It is light, soft & very easy to put on. Just the thing for a little girl. (plus that I'm so happy with the colour as I dyed the yarns myself - for the first time!)

Koko on juuri passeli ja se istuu kauniisti. Kevyt, pehmoinen ja helposti puettava - eli joka äidin unelmavaate;-) (tietysti olen melkoisen onnellinen tuosta väristä kun olen sen omin kätösin aikaan saanut - ensimmäistä kertaa ikinä itsevärjätty lanka! jihuu!)
